The Moledaughter’s Song

The Moledaughter’s Song
Master Mole by Angelina N. and Andrew J.
Beneath my feet, beneath the earth
still and silent, in the dark
between tangled roots I move my girth
building mounds above the ark

Busy bunnies

The Puyallup Fair has come… probably the most interesting or important thing that happens on this side of Washington lol.  Andrew and I are going to go some time in the next couple weeks for a date ^_^… we’ll probably wind up spending the entire time at the bunny show!  We are rabbit fanatics.

Other than that, not much going on- just a lot of work, doing a couple charms with/for my friends Amber and Vee.  Havin’ good time ^_^.  The rest of this …

Pagan Belief, Bad Idea

*For the record:  When I talk about beliefs and ideas, I am addressing spiritual and religious philosophies, not secular or universal beliefs.  Meaning, I’m not talking about the way we disagree with capitol punishment, or taxes, or class systems.  I’m talking about the dangers in a religious context, which is more powerful, potent and widespread than our secular disagreements.*

Today on the …

Witchery Dyes: Part III

On the night of the dark moon, I dawned my black rite gown, my death shroud, by bone beads with the calavera’s grinning their death’s grin and my bowl of sacred mountain ash to paint my face in the mask of the dead …

From the Mouths of Good "Witches"

Don’t mind me, I just feel like ranting….

Once in a while, I ponder over some of my older books from my pagan literature collection just for old times sake.  I have long outgrown my use of Cunningham (other than for quick herbal references) or my Starhawk and Blamires.  They were old friends once, helping me collect information, most of it BS, some of it generally useful. So I like to look back at my collection relegated to my …

The Smoke Circle

I had a great conversation over skype with a group of wonderful witches today that really got me thinking. Since I promised not to name names for the sake of identity protection, I’ll use their nick-names lol.  Buxom (lol, I’m Busty both literally and figuratively so we gave her Buxom) was talking to me about inspired incense, something we’re both so fond of and how she’s been gathering ingredients to make her incense in devotion to her Divine Spirits- not gods, but spirits that are powerful …

A Labour of Mysteries

Me and my moles… I adore these guardians of the subterranean world, not because of my long history with them and not because they are one of my most sacred guardians, but because of what they symbolize as the wisdom keepers of earthy mysteries.  They move the earth with their splayed hands, pushing at soft soil, gnawing the wise earth worms, avoiding the light of day to focus on the energy of the ground.   Few other beings are as attended to the subtle changes in the ground, or more aware of the great wealth of wisdom that lies there.

Folk, fiction and fearless me

Folk magic, folk religion and folklore are some of the biggest influences on my path- hell, most of my path revolves around it.  The studies of European folklore however is my main interest- and the large part of the reason I’ve been pursuing a bachelors in Anthropology with an emphasis on pre-christian european religion.  When I began taking every single history, anthropology and religion class my school had to offer, I had it in mind that my goal, whenever I worked up …
