I recently observed a discussion about past lives. I’ll leave my thoughts on the subject out of the blog, however you always see a few really entertaining responses when people decide to talk about this subject.

Hopefully you remember the previous blog about the discussion that was happening where a woman was making the claim that Christians are burning pagans out of their homes on a fairly regular basis in the southern regions of the US? I thought that I’d share a bit more from the conversation.

While there were a number of us who were asking for source information and news articles, no one was able to provide them for us. The woman making the claims said she’d been a witness to these actions on more than one occasion, though none of the other members of the group had the same experiences. Of course, the group owner did share a personal experience, though I’m not quite sure that it is the same as people or Christians burning Pagan families out of their home.

Group Moronator: I live in Iowa and when I used to go to the local landromat I was approached by two JW’s. I refused to talk to them about the bible. I told them that I wasn’t a believer in christianity. I made the mistake of leaving the laundromat. I was washing colors and jeans only. When I returned someone poured bleach into the washers and ruined my clothes. I didn’t have any bleach to begin with. So you don’t have to live in the south to get harrassed by christian fundies.

While I agree that ruined laundry sucks on an awesome level, I think that yeah it was harassment. By epic assholes, but it was a matter that could have been, and should have been reported. Property damage isn’t cute. But neither is it persecution, Not in my eyes anyway, it’s just a case of people being assholes, and we need to accept that assholes come in every religous flavor imaginable.

Group Moronator: Shea. some of us do try to educate christians about pagan beliefs. And most pagans have to hide thier beliefs because of the christian mentality, in thier eyes it is them versus us. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

Group Moronator: Shae, I would like to know how your last conversation went with a christian that called you a devil worshipper and determined that you are going to hell. Closed minds like that are almost impossible to communicate with. I have tried and I continue to try. I try to follow religious tolerence based on, I will be tolerant of other people’s religious views as long as they are tolerant of mine.

So, there we have it. A group so hell bent on hating Christians and screaming about perceived persecution that nothing it ever going to change their minds. What bothers me, is that usually people like this become the poster children that the media uses to portray ALL Pagans. I don’t see much acceptance of people under the Pagan Umbrella when asshats like this are the ones ‘educating’ the rest of the world about Pagans.

I’d love to reenact the burning times, and throw these nuts into the fire, maybe if we get rid of them, the voices of the educated who are more open to accepting everyone’s POV, not just the pagans, things will become different.

If you’re on a social network, you’ve run into at least one of these. While not necessarily ‘Fluff’ they do fall into the ‘Asshat’ category. You see, I’ve decided that they are very much like Social Network Leeches.

Now while I do TRY to stay away from the ‘Friend Collectors’ they can and do slip through the cracks. I’m the co-creator of a Pagan Community, we utilize FB to get the word out about that community and have some pretty good discussions over on the PM profile over there. People want to friend me on my personal profile, and the ones who are of a less fluffy variety, will usually get added.

One of these friend collectors really pissed me the fuck off tonight.

You see, I do find cute funny pictures on the net, if I like it enough, I’ll go and share it on my profile. Now, while I’ll joke with my friends when they steal a picture, (You know who you are.) it’s really not that big of a deal. People see shit they like, they snag it for themselves. No problem, that’s how I found it in the first place.

What I don’t like, and appreciate even less, is the fact that I found a rather adorable picture today, decided to post it on FB, and went through the trouble of tagging myself and the mule in it. (Cause it was a cute picture.) This fucktard asshat skank bitch not only decided to steal this pic, but instead of outright stealing it, she tagged herself in it. Now… I’m sorry, that’s a boundary issue for me. What I thought was a cute picture, that I tagged myself and my mulish other half in was and should have been a joke for US. If the bitch liked the picture, she could have stolen it, or even SHARED it. But to tag herself in it?

I’m pissy, and I’m very territorial, and I’m sorry if this seems like I have issues, but I feel like it’s a case of some random broad wandering over and inserting herself on the couch with me and the butthead while we’re cuddling. I don’t share my toys, I’m territorial, I bite and now, I’m in the mood to rip the head off of something fuzzy. Problem is, it’s 2:30 in the morning, and so most of the fluff are asleep.

I’m tired of the friend collectors, of the insta pagan, hell insta everything society that we live in. Where everyone seems to think that they’re entitled to everything, even marring something that I would have liked to have kept between myself, a mule and our circle of friends.

Thanks alot you stupid bitch for making me growley on an otherwise, perfectly nice, quiet evening. I hope that I get a chance to rip your fluffy lil head off your fucking shoulders sometime soon.

There is a growing trend, an epidemic on FB which allows people who barely know you, friend collectors and the like to add you to groups without prior knowledge or consent. If being added to every Pagan Flavored group under the sun wasn’t bad enough, now the Pagan/Esoteric shops are jumping on board with it.

Now in addition to being added to Fluffy Unicorns, Sparklepires United, etc. You get added to groups that want you to buy their wares. Just yesterday I was added to ‘Little Zen Shop Mystical Gifts & Charms’

What do I find on this ‘Group’ page? Links to their store, lists of crap that they’re selling, and a hundred fluffy bunnies happily dancing from foot to foot exclaiming, “Thanks so much for adding me to your group!”  My stomach turned. Where was the outrage of having been added without permission? Not only that, but, it seemed to me that these people were all TOO STUPID to realize that they were being SPAMMED.

You were pulled into a group, so that someone could ‘sell you on their products’ and, you’re happy about it? WTF? Are they oblivious, or just totally into it because their main purpose on this social networking site is to collect as many ‘pagan’ flavored friends, authors and shops that they can to make themselves feel better, or more secure about their choice of path?

It boggles my mind, it hurts my head, and it makes me want to scream.

No More Adds to Groups without Invites. OR I’ll eat your souls!

Cruelty to animals and Halfwits is sometimes frowned upon. Eating a fluffy soul is one thing, rolling on the floor laughing at them is also a fun past time. Just a chance to sit back, relax and giggle your ass off at some of the things that they say. You don’t really have to step in, because they do such a perfect job of proving their flufftardism all by themselves.

Today I was invited to a group for the second day in a row,  called ‘Witches for Jesus.’  I can only assume that since I’ve already ignored an invitation to this group, someone really wanted to invite me, or, the follow this blog and thought that it would get my attention enough to go and check out the group, and possibly post about it.

I found the Groups information section to be quite fascinating, so, I’ll share that with all of you.

I USE THE WORD, ‘WITCH’, IN A PURELY POSITIVE SENSE, NO WAY A SERVANT OF THE DEVIL, WHICH I DON’T EVEN BELIEVE IN. IT’S VERY MATRIARCHAL AND EMPOWERS WOMEN. IT (THE OLD WAYS) HOOKS US BACK IN TO THE NATURAL WORLD AND HELPS US TO SEE THINGS IN A BROADER SENSE. NO FEAR, ONLY LOVE. I SAY ‘JESUS’ BECAUSE I BELIEVE WHAT HE HAD TO SAY EITHER ANGERED THE AUTHORITIES OR FOLKS (INCLUDING THE APOSTLES) DIDN’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT HE WAS REALLY TRYING TO TEACH THEM. HE WAS A TRUE MYSTIC. AND ALOT OF TERRIBLE SHIT HAS BEEN DONE IN HIS NAME. I THINK HE WOULD APPROVE OF THIS GROUP. JESUS WAS A FEMINST YOU KNOW.

Makes you want to giggle just a little bit doesn’t it? So, Jesus was a ‘feminst’ and he pissed off a whole lot of authority figures, including the apostles. Something I was completely unaware of. Thank goodness this group exists so that I was able to learn something new.
