A Gift of Pearls

I’m making Hell freeze over today. I’m wearing a dress, and heels! (I even shaved my legs.) A little makeup. A little bling. A few more rings, a new bracelet, and two necklaces! The oddly shaped blue pearl pendant lays just above the opal pendant. Normally, I only wear the opal, but it’s a special day. I better be careful, with all this wealth I’m showing off. I chuckle at myself for being silly about my appearance.

Breaking The Chain

Suddenly, I felt a shift around me, and saw I was in the lair I shared with Snake. Of course. This is “home” in the Dreaming, after all. A reptilian tongue licked at the air around me. I turned to see Snake in a new anthropomorphic form. This new shape resembles Egyptian depictions. I’m hoping he doesn’t have an ego to match.

“You’ve been with someone.” It wasn’t a statement. It was an accusation. Snake? Jealous? Of unresolved sexual tension? What the fuck is this shit?

Cold Hospitality

I find myself in a clearing in a very dense forest. It’s winter. Everything is snowed over and iced up. The only thing not a color of snow, is me. And now that the snow has started falling, that’s likely to change.

My first awareness is that I am kneeling on the ground, and it looks like I haven’t been here that long. I don’t know how I got here. There are no footprints around me. The cold wind blows through feather cloak and thin clothes. At once I start shivering uncontrollably. I need shelter.

So I Gave Her What She Wanted

“Weaver… I know you were sleeping… but… ” More laughter. He waves a thin flat object at me, motioning for me to take it. “You gotta read this! They never learn!” He places the object by my hand and indulges in more knee-buckling laughter.

Payback

Last night’s sleep was continually interrupted. The key question is not “Did Keri dream?”, but “Did Keri get enough sleep to be functional?”. The answer to the first is “Yes.”, the answer to the second is “Keep blunt objects and dipshits away from her and find her some place to nap.” Of the varied scenes, I only remember two vignettes.

Three Servings of Dreams

Presented for your enjoyment, three dreams served on the same night.

  • More patience required outside of school, than inside.
  • Speaking of patience, the commute used up every last bit left.
  • At least the election season wasn’t too annoying.

Not Enough Terror

WARNING: Maggots & viscera & shit. Who am I kidding, y’all know I write some crazy shit anyway, right?

Last night’s dream was a buffet of terror. I had the usual emotional assaults. Abject terror. Smothering terror. “Worms eating me alive from the inside out” terror. “Naked in front of my classmates while I piss myself” terror. (Okay, that one was more humor than terror.)
